summer’s gone
so we now enter the last weekend before school starts up again. it’s crazy to think that we’ve been away from korea for more than a year already.
this summer has been nonstop and honestly i feel like i already need a vacation. i was a little worried coming back to meetings…worried that i’m burned out before school even begins…but once again i was reminded that i’m doing what i love to do. i know that the school year is long and it won’t be easy, but i don’t dread going to work. i can’t wait to see the students on monday and find out what challenges i’ll face this year.
volleyball has been everything lately. we had a camp last week which the other coach and i put on for the girls. we played 28 hours of volleyball in 4 and a half days. everyone was absolutely beat by the end of it. the team looks good despite losing a good player last year. i had my first interview today with the local newspaper, reminding me once again all of the aspects of coaching in the US.
life with zoe and marley is definitely energy consuming. i was busy most the week with school meetings and volleyball practice so LJ had total responsibility at home with the girls. we made it through this first week, so i think that’s a sign we’re going to survive the volleyball season.
we took a trip to a “water hole” just outside of winslow, arizona last weekend. it was nice to get out of town and do something. here’s a few pics of the festivities

It looks like you have all adapted well to a family of 4. Your girls are beautiful!!!! It was great to see pics and hear that you are doing well.
Love,
Julie
